2. Of pure descent and respectable family and possesses sufficient knowledge of Sanskrit and pujas of Parasu Rama tantra sampradayas of Kerala.
3. Has an unblemished character and leads of celibate life.
4. Professes the Hindu religion and is well versed in the form of worship usually performed in the temples of Vishnu.
5. Should be physically fit.
